Mr. Art (Max Butler) received a scholarship to visit Japan during the 2004-2005 school year from the Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher Program (JFMF). "This program aims to increase understanding of Japan and Japanese culture by U.S. educators who will help shape and educate the next generation. The program provides significant learning opportunities to American educators to enhance their curricula
and bring their students a greater understanding of other cultures. In doing so, it helps to fulfill Senator Fulbright’s dream of creating a more peaceful world through education and mutual understanding."
