District Mission Statement
To ensure the academic success of all students by fostering a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
District Philosophy
The Bastrop Independent School District subscribes to the philosophy that all students can learn at levels substantially higher than now exist. Commitment to this philosophy is driven by a focus on high academic standards with the expectation that every graduate will actualize his/her potential, possess the knowledge and skills necessary to take advantage of post-secondary educational opportunities, pursue meaningful careers and participate successfully in a democratic society.
Special Education Goals
The ultimate goal of the Bastrop Special Education Program is the inclusion of all students with disabilities into the general education program to the maximum extent possible meeting the identified needs of each individual student. Bastrop is committed to establishing family and community partnerships that in turn lead to successful outcomes for all students. The goals in each student's individual plan create a comprehensive, educational experience, which prepares each student for transition into meaningful and productive post-secondary experiences which include further education, employment, recreation, and independent living.
